1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal information we collect through this website, and through the registration platforms we use to run programs, LeagueApps and EZFacility, where registrations, payments and waivers are completed.
Put simply: this site collects very little. There is one contact form, and it is the only place we ask you for anything.
2. Who is responsible
Ghost Lab NJ, 749 Hope Road, Eatontown, NJ 07724, is responsible for the information described here. The contracting legal entity is PRD Baseball, a New Jersey corporation. You can reach us using the details in section 14.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
Our contact form asks for:
- first and last name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- which program you are interested in;
- your message.
You choose what to put in the message field. Please do not include medical records or other sensitive information there. Tell us in person or by phone instead.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard technical data when you load a page: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, timestamps, and referring page. This is ordinary server logging, used to serve the site, keep it secure, and diagnose faults.
What we do not collect
This website has no login, no shopping cart, and no payment processing. Registration and payment happen on LeagueApps and EZFacility, so we never see card details through this site. The site loads no analytics or advertising scripts.
4. How we use it
We use what you send us to:
- reply to your enquiry and arrange an evaluation or session;
- administer bookings and programs you sign up for;
- keep records of our dealings with you;
- operate, secure, and improve the website;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We send emails and text messages about camps, memberships, registrations, and the programs you or your athlete are signed up for. If you would rather not receive them, tell us or reply STOP to a text.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, ours is: performing a contract (delivering training you booked), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, securing the site), consent (anything you opt into), and legal obligation.
7. Children's privacy
We train young athletes, so this matters. This website is directed at parents, guardians, and adult athletes, not at children. Children under 13 should not submit anything through the contact form.
Where we hold information about an athlete under 18, we expect it to have been provided by a parent or legal guardian, who can review it, correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time.
If we learn we have collected information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it. Contact us and we will act promptly.
In practice, a parent or legal guardian completes the registration and signs the waiver for every athlete under 18, so information about younger athletes reaches us from an adult rather than from the child. Athletes 18 or older may register and sign for themselves.
8. Athlete photos and video
We film and photograph training for coaching analysis and promotion, and we publish some of it, including on this site. An athlete's image and name are personal information.
If you do not want an athlete's image used publicly, tell us and we will stop using it going forward and remove it from our own site and channels where we reasonably can. Material already reshared by third parties may be beyond our reach.
Permission to photograph and record athletes and to use that content is granted at registration, by the parent or legal guardian for athletes under 18, and by the athlete themselves at 18 or older.
9. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Registration, payment and waiver records are kept for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet accounting, insurance and liability obligations. Waivers in particular are kept well beyond the end of training.
Records held on LeagueApps and EZFacility are retained under those platforms’ own schedules, and server logs under our host’s. When we no longer need information, we delete it or anonymise it.
10. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. We limit access to enquiries and client records to staff who need them, and we use reputable providers for hosting and email.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet. Do not send sensitive information through the contact form.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, for example under New Jersey's data privacy law, other US state privacy laws, or the UK/EU GDPR, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- opt out of marketing at any time;
- opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do neither);
- appeal if we refuse a request, and complain to your data protection authority or state attorney general.
To exercise any of these, email us at the address in section 14. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, generally 45 days in the US and one month under the GDPR. We may need to verify your identity first, and a parent or guardian may exercise these rights for a minor. Using them costs nothing and we will not treat you differently for it.
12. Do Not Track
The site does not track visitors across other websites, so there is no cross-site tracking to switch off. We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals to the extent they apply.
13. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, for example new analytics, a booking platform or a payment processor, we will update this policy and change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
