1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of this website and, where noted, your participation in training programs and use of facilities operated by Ghost Lab NJ ("Ghost Lab NJ", "we", "us").
By using this site or booking a session, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
These Terms sit alongside any waiver, release, membership agreement, or program agreement you sign in person, and do not replace it. Where a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls.
2. Who we are
Ghost Lab NJ operates a baseball development facility at 749 Hope Road, Eatontown, NJ 07724, with a second location planned in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Ghost Lab NJ is a trading name of PRD Baseball, a New Jersey corporation. PRD Baseball is the contracting party under these Terms, at 749 Hope Road, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
3. Our services
We provide baseball development services, which currently include pitching instruction, hitting instruction, youth training, strength and conditioning, remote training, and athlete evaluations.
Program content, session length, coach assignment, equipment, and schedules may change. We may add, modify, or discontinue any program at any time. Where you have already paid for sessions that we discontinue, we will offer a refund or an account credit, depending on the circumstances.
Remote training
Remote programs are delivered on the basis of video and data you submit. Because we are not physically present, you are responsible for training in a safe space, with appropriate equipment, and for stopping if anything hurts. Remote coaching is not supervision.
4. Eligibility and minors
You may use this site if you are 18 or older. Many of our athletes are under 18, and we welcome them, but a parent or legal guardian must book, pay, sign all waivers, and provide consent for any athlete under 18. By booking for a minor, you confirm you are that athlete's parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.
Children under 13 should not submit information through this site themselves. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information relating to minors.
5. Booking, payment and cancellation
Sessions and programs are booked through our registration platforms, LeagueApps and EZFacility. Prices are as quoted at registration.
- Payment. Payment is handled by those platforms, either in full at registration or on the payment schedule shown for that program.
- Cancellation by you. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed sessions, may be treated as used.
- Cancellation by us. If we cancel a session (weather, coach illness, facility issue), we will reschedule it or credit it.
- Refunds and credits. Refunds and account credits are available depending on the circumstances. Get in touch and we will sort it out. Unused lesson sessions do not expire.
- Membership renewal. Ongoing memberships may renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel through your account on the registration platform or by contacting us. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the following period. Prepaid camps and fixed-term programs do not auto-renew; they run through their full term.
6. Physical activity and assumption of risk
Baseball training is a strenuous physical activity that carries a real risk of injury. That includes, without limitation, muscle strains, ligament and tendon injury, arm and shoulder injury, impact injury from balls, bats, or equipment, falls, heat illness, and in rare cases catastrophic injury.
By participating, you acknowledge these risks and confirm that:
- the athlete is medically fit to take part, and you have obtained medical clearance if there is any reason to doubt that;
- you will disclose any injury, condition, medication, or restriction relevant to training;
- you will follow coaching instructions, warm-up protocols, and facility rules;
- you will stop and report it if the athlete feels pain, dizziness, or distress.
Nothing we provide is medical advice, physical therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. We are coaches, not medical providers. Consult a physician before starting any training program, and follow their guidance over ours on anything medical.
A signed waiver and release is required before any athlete trains with us. Waivers are completed electronically as part of registration. For any athlete under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the registration and sign the waiver; athletes 18 or older may register and sign for themselves. These Terms sit alongside that waiver and do not replace it.
7. Facility rules and conduct
While at our facilities you agree to treat coaches, staff, and other athletes with respect; use equipment as instructed; supervise any children you bring who are not training; and follow posted safety rules.
We may remove anyone from a session or facility, without refund, for conduct that is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive.
Website conduct
Do not attempt to breach or probe the site's security, scrape it at a volume that burdens it, submit false information through our forms, or use the site to send unlawful or abusive content.
8. No guarantee of results
We publish athlete outcomes, including college commitments and professional signings. Those are examples of what specific athletes achieved, not a prediction or promise of what any other athlete will achieve.
Athletic development depends on factors outside our control: genetics, growth, effort, consistency, injury, recruiting dynamics, and luck among them. We do not guarantee velocity gains, exit velocity, playing time, roster spots, scholarships, recruitment, or any specific metric or outcome, and nothing on this site should be read as such a guarantee.
9. Contact form and communications
When you submit our contact form you are asking us to get in touch, and you consent to us replying by email or phone using the details you gave. Please do not send sensitive information, such as medical records, through the form.
We send emails and text messages about camps, memberships, registrations, and the programs you or your athlete are signed up for. If you would rather not receive them, tell us or reply STOP to a text and we will stop. Standard message and data rates may apply.
10. Intellectual property
The site and its contents, including the Ghost Lab NJ name and logo, text, layout, photography, video, program names, and training materials, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
You may view and share the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute our content, or use our name or logo, without written permission. Training plans and materials we give you are for the athlete's own use and may not be resold or distributed.
11. Photos, video and likeness
We film and photograph training for coaching, analysis, and promotion. If you would prefer that an athlete's image not be used publicly, tell us in writing and we will honor that going forward.
Permission to photograph and record athletes, and to use that content, is included in our registration, granted by the parent or legal guardian for athletes under 18, and by the athlete themselves at 18 or older.
If you send us video or data for analysis, you keep ownership of it and grant us permission to use it to deliver and improve your coaching.
12. Third-party links and services
This site links to and embeds services we do not control:
- our online store, hosted at a separate domain, which has its own terms and its own checkout and returns policy;
- an embedded Google Map on our contact page, subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
13. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information on it is complete or current. Prices, schedules, and program details may be out of date; confirm with us before relying on them.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ghost Lab NJ and its owners, staff, and coaches are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or opportunity, arising from your use of this site.
Our total liability arising from your use of this site is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
This section limits website-related liability only. Liability for physical injury during training is governed by the waiver signed at registration and by New Jersey law. Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities, and nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for gross negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ghost Lab NJ, its owners, staff, and coaches from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your or your athlete's violation of facility rules or applicable law.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and each of us consents to that jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
